Our founder, Alex Sun, grew up fascinated by plants and technology. While studying electrical engineering, he became deeply interested in indoor cultivation and the role of lighting in plant growth. He noticed many growers struggled with inefficient lighting and poor crop yields, which inspired him to explore innovative LED solutions. These experiences laid the foundation for RTSUNLED
After graduation, Alex joined a horticultural lighting company to gain hands-on experience. He learned about spectrum design, thermal management, and energy efficiency, while overseeing hundreds of experimental setups. Observing that many lights on the market were unreliable and poorly tested, Alex realized the need for a company committed to quality, reliability, and grower success.
Based on his insights, Alex founded RTSUNLED in 2019. The company’s mission was clear: provide professional, high-quality LED grow lighting for commercial growers, vertical farms, and indoor horticulture facilities worldwide. From the beginning, RTSUNLED emphasized rigorous product testing, energy-efficient design, and customer-focused service.
Alex assembled a team of engineers, horticulturists, and designers who shared his vision. Together, they developed LED grow lights for greenhouses and indoor farms, testing prototypes with growers to refine designs. By 2021, RTSUNLED expanded internationally and launched a new line of full-spectrum LED fixtures with dimmable controls, optimized spectra for all growth stages, and smart connectivity for remote monitoring.
RTSUNLED’s R&D and production capabilities scaled to support larger operations, with a team of 25 engineers and technicians. Our lights were adopted by large vertical farms and earned international certifications. We focused on energy-efficient technology, optimized spectra for photosynthetic efficiency, and advanced control systems, helping growers maximize yields and minimize energy waste.
On August 8, 2024, RTSUNLED officially launched as a global brand. Implementing a 5-step quality control system, we ensure every fixture meets the highest standards. Today, RTSUNLED continues supporting growers worldwide, helping them scale operations, improve efficiency, and achieve consistent harvests.
