毕业后，亚历克斯加入了一家园艺照明公司，积累实践经验。他学习了光谱设计、热管理和能源效率等方面的知识，并负责监督数百个实验装置的运行。他发现市面上很多灯具性能不稳定，测试也不充分，因此意识到市场需要一家致力于提升产品质量、可靠性并帮助种植者取得成功的公司。
