What irradiance means
Irradiance is the optical power reaching a surface, measured in milliwatts per square centimetre. Together with session time it sets the dose a client receives.
How it is measured
A calibrated power meter records output at fixed distances across the panel face. A spectrometer confirms each wavelength’s peak. Good reports show a grid of readings, not a single best-case number.
How to read a report
Check the distance for each reading, the meter model and whether the figure is an average or a peak. Compare panels at the same distance, ideally 15 cm and 30 cm.
What we provide
Every RTSUN model ships with a spectrometer chart and irradiance map at 15, 30 and 45 cm, plus flicker and EMF readings.
